First time cutting after a long bulk. 2 weeks in and I hate everything
18 months of eating 3400 a day. Got to 96kg, lifts are the best they have ever been, also I have a gut and my face is round. Dropped to 2600 two weeks ago.
I am hungry constantly. I am cold. My bench already dropped 5kg which I know is glycogen but it still feels like death. I have been in bed by 9:30 three nights this week because being awake means being hungry.
I know it gets better. Does it actually get better or do people just get used to being miserable?
It gets better around week 3-4 and here is why: your body is used to 3400 and you cut it by 800 in one go. That is a big shock. Most people do that and feel exactly like you for 3 weeks, then it settles.
If it does not settle by week 4, go to 2800 for 2 weeks and then 2600 again. Slower start, same place by Christmas, less misery. There is no rule that says the first 2 weeks have to be the hardest.
