Protein powder under 40 bucks that does not taste like chalk

Trying to hit 160g a day and I just cannot get there on food alone with my schedule. Bought a cheap whey off Amazon and it is genuinely undrinkable. Gritty, fake vanilla, foams up like dish soap.

Budget is about 40 for a kilo. Do not care about fancy blends or "clean label", just want something I will actually drink every day. Mixing with water mostly, sometimes milk.

Chocolate, not vanilla. Cheap vanilla is always bad because there is nothing to hide behind. Cheap chocolate is usually fine. Also mix it with 300ml milk not 200ml water, most of the chalk thing is just concentration.

Supermarket own brand. Seriously. Most of the big UK supermarkets do a whey at 20-25 a kilo and it is the same stuff as the 40 quid tubs with a different label. Chocolate or cookies flavour.

Unpopular but: have you tried just eating 200g of greek yogurt twice a day? 40g protein, costs less than the powder, and you will not end up with 900g of a tub you hate.

I do eat yogurt. The issue is lunch, I work in a van and yogurt at 1pm in July is a crime scene.

Blend it with a frozen banana and it stops tasting like anything. Problem solved, 100 extra kcal though.
