Meal prep Sunday never happens. Switched to Thursday nights and it stuck

Every productivity post says Sunday. For 2 years I have said "I'll prep Sunday" and then Sunday is for lying down. Monday lunch is a meal deal. By Wednesday I have given up.

Switched to Thursday evening about 2 months ago. 7pm, 90 minutes, cook 4 lunches for Fri Mon Tue Wed, plus one extra dinner. Friday I have the energy Sunday-me never has. Weekend I do not have to think about it. Thursday is a boring day anyway.

4 lunches is the same thing every week: 600g chicken thighs, 400g dry rice, a bag of frozen veg, a jar of sauce. ~550 kcal, 42g protein each. Costs about 9 quid total.

It is not a revolutionary idea, I just had to stop pretending I was a Sunday person.

"I had to stop pretending I was a Sunday person" is the most relatable sentence posted on here

Thighs over breasts is the other quiet win here. They do not turn into cardboard by day 4.

Same meal every day is the real cheat code and everyone argues with it. Variety is where the calories hide.

Thursday to Wednesday is 6 days and honestly days 5-6 are a bit dry. I put a splash of water on it before microwaving and it is fine. If you are fussy, freeze two of them Thursday night and take them out Monday.
