Guides/How to start lifting
How to start lifting
Start lifting with three patterns you can film: a squat, a hinge, a press, plus a row. Light enough that the last reps look like the first. The gym is not a test. It is a practice room.

Week one
Learn the machines or the dumbbell versions if the bar feels like a stage. Two sets. Walk out able to do it again Wednesday. That is a win. Soreness is not a grade.
Week four
You should have numbers in a note. If you do not, you were exercising, not training. A beginner blueprint gives you the week so you can focus on the reps, not the spreadsheet.
Film one set a week
You do not need a content career. You need to see if the back rounded on the hinge. One set, side view, delete it after you learn. That feedback is worth more than a new programme. Then go home.
The exercise library is there for the demo. The beginner blueprint is there for the week. Starting is a logistics problem. Make the first session so small you cannot talk yourself out of it.
Week one and week four

A trainer on day one is optional
A session to learn form is worth it if you can. A written plan plus the exercise library is the other path. Everyone who is strong was new. Go at a quiet hour if you want. Still go.
